Candidates can take the National Foundation Referee Course that applies to the Fifteen-a-Side game.

Brief description of course structure and learning style/delivery methodology:

This is a stand alone course and there are theoretical examples and assessment activities in the course.  Ideally the laws applying to the different phases of the game are delivered in a practical manner and this is reinforced through classroom presentations of the key learning points.

The written examination is a multi choice and will take candidates an average of 45 minutes to complete.  Candidates may use all course material for the examination but not their individual notes.

There is ample opportunity to present the course to cater for different learning styles.

More recently this course has been delivered as a combined course with the Mini/Midi Coaching Course.  The Coach and Referee Tutor work together to deliver the content.
