Necessary
pre course qualification: |
Candidates should have had
completed the Society Coach course have some experience (3 months min) of
refereeing or assessing and or have approved prior learning. |
Progress
route to next qualification: |
Via completion of course and
successful attainment of competences. Followed by working with a referee
(s) and then by completing the additional modules as decided by the
Referee Department. Promotion to various levels will be decided by the
criteria laid down by Federation, Group, PDU or ERU.

Brief
description of course structure and learning style/delivery methodology:
The course is a modular design
with four separate modules covering how to coach, sport specifics, sports
science and the use of the report form. It is designed for the majority of
the course to be via distance learning taking no more than sixteen hours
to complete which should include at least three sessions with the cohort
meeting.
At the end of the course
candidates should attain the necessary competences to be awarded the
Development Squad coach Certificate.
