Via completion of course and
successful attainment of competences. Followed by 6 months working with a
referee or referees within a society and then recommendation from STO or
SCDO (society coach development officer)

Brief
description of course structure and learning style/delivery methodology:
The course is a modular design
with four separate modules covering how to coach, sport specifics, sports
science and the use of the report form. It is designed for the majority of
the course to be via distance learning taking no more than ten hours to
complete which should include at least one session with the cohort
meeting.
At the end of the course
candidates should attain the necessary competences to be awarded the
Society coach Certificate.
